چکیده
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming increasingly important in many industries due to its diverse areas of application and potential. In logistics particular, increasing customer demands the growth shipment volumes are leading difficulties forecasting delivery times, especially for last mile. This paper explores potential using AI improve forecasting. For this purpose, a structured theoretical solution approach method improving presented. doing so, phases Cross-Industry Standard Process Data Mining (CRISP-DM) framework, standard process data mining, adopted discussed detail illustrate complexity importance each task such as preparation or evaluation. Subsequently, by embedding described into an overall system architecture information systems, ideas integration real systems given.

New City Logistics Paradigm: From the “Last Mile” to the “Last 50 Miles” Sustainable Distribution
The distribution of goods in urban areas, together with private traffic flows, are among the main sources of energy consumption, air pollution and noise. As a consequence, in the 2000s, several EU cities started to implement logistical solutions for the sustainable city. In this context, this study addresses the implementation of a new eco-logistic system, which serves multiple adjacent cities ...
متن کاملInformation and Process Requirements for Electric Mobility in Last-Mile-Logistics
E-vehicles are expected to become increasingly important in the logistics sector. Global use of delivery vehicles with combustion motors causes a significant percentage of total emissions and is responsible for climate change, shortage of fossil fuels and pollution in urban areas. Simultaneously, cargo volumes are increasing, especially in urban regions due to for example e-commerce development...
متن کاملLocating Self-Collection Points for Last-Mile Logistics Using Public Transport Data
Delivery failure and re-scheduling cause the delay of services and increase the operation costs for logistics companies. Setting up selfcollection points is an effective solution that is attracting attentions from many companies. One challenge for this model is how to choose the locations for self-collection points. In this work, we design a methodology for locating self-collection points. We c...

The next leap in the communications market may be the extension of optical technology to access networks. Advanced fibre optical access equipment has been developed in the last decade and today trial tests are on the way and insular deployment has begun. The access network, the last mile, has not encountered any major changes of technology for a century. However, current advancements in technol...
متن کاملAn artificial intelligence model based on LS-SVM for third-party logistics provider selection
The use of third-party logistics (3PL) providers is regarded as new strategy in logistics management. The relationships by considering 3PL are sometimes more complicated than any classical logistics supplier relationships. These relationships have taken into account as a well-known way to highlight organizations' flexibilities to regard rapidly uncertain market conditions, follow core competenc...
